I play bass guitar in the Brazilian Choro ensemble 'Septeto Maxixe'.

Further line-up is violin, tenor sax, accordeon, guitar and 2x pandeiro (percussion). Our guitar player is not on the picture yet.

The Brazilian choro started around 150 years ago in Rio de Janeiro. Walses and polkas from the European dance music melted with African rhythms, brought to Brazil by the slaves, and with other local music influences.
